"Attended A & E on Saturday evening d"

My 92 years old mother was taken to A &E on Saturday evening. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the nurse who attended to her but the care and concern given was exemplary. Then we saw a doctor who was excellent. They not only treated my mother so kindly and efficiently it was also speedily. We have never been given xray results within ten minutes of having it before _ we have waited two hours in the past to be told .

When we were told that we could leave but would need to take medication home with us we expected as usual at least an hours wait for it. But the doctor was back within minutes with it _ which was amazing . My only concern is the practice of always putting in a canula without waiting to see if it is needed or not. Because of her age the nurse had trouble getting it in and now my Mother had nasty bruising which was totally unnecessary because she did not need a drip. Surely it would be quicker and cheaper only to give them to the patients that need them. But compared to many other visits to A&E this one was first class. Thank you.
