"Treatment for Heart Attack"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Cardiology West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

On the 25th October I suffered a severe Heart Attack. The First Response Team followed shortly after by the Ambulance were very quick. The First Response gentleman traveled with us in the Ambulance and notified the Cardiac Team who were waiting for me upon arrival. They took charge from thereon. I had a Stent fitted and spent 24hrs in the High Dependency ward and was discharged three days later. I need to return for a further Stent to be fitted. The service from the 999 call to when I left Hospital could not have been more professional and all the staff on Ward 6 were friendly and very efficient.
