"Minor Injuries Unit"

About: Herts & Essex Community Hospital

I took my wife to the minor injuries unit this morning with a suspected broken thumb. She was seen by the nurse within 15 minutes, was sent for an x-ray and was diagnosed and treated for a broken thumb all within a total of 45 minutes. Very impressive. All of the staff were courteous and considerate. It felt more like a private hospital than an NHS hospital.

If we had gone to A&E we would have been there for at least 3-4 hours.
