"She was very reassuring and kind"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My son with special needs had a foreign body in his ear, and we were unable to remove it at home. We came to the Emergency Department and were seen very quickly by a nurse called Aimee. She took great care of my son and removed the offending piece of popcorn (as it turned out) very quickly. She was very reassuring and kind.

My son has unfortunately had many experiences with health services, and can get stressed but Aimee was very patient with him.

Thank you

Dear minionsfan,

I am sorry that your son had to attend the Emergency Department following him inserting a foreign body into his ear. This must also have been frightening for him.

I am pleased that he was seen quickly and your feedback that Aimee was reassuring, kind and care was positive. She will be delighted to hear this.

It was also so reassuring to hear from you that the experience was stress free and that Aimee demonstrated patience and reassurance.

I hope that he has no further unfortunate incidents.

Thank you once again for the kind words.

Best Wishes

Andy
