"A&E Dept Nurses and doctors are always great"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Have always found the nurses and doctors in A&E very caring and efficient it's only if you need to go past that process and be on a ward where communication can sometimes fail. Admin is not as efficient as it could be and thus causes delays in people going home. The suggestion is that all emails should be followed up with phone calls as I know from experience these can sit in mailboxes before action is taken. Records should be kept of communication. This is mostly experuence from when my mother has been admitted a few times. I was lucky and saw a great nurse (don't know their name) who stuck my forehead together for me and I'd only waited just over an hour which is good for Queens. I attended on Monday 9th Nov 2015 at UCC Dept between 2-3.15pm and the nurse was very efficient and kind. I would ask that you thank them for me.

I’m really pleased to hear about your experiences at Queen’s Hospital. Thank you for taking the time to comment on both your care and that of your mother as well. It’s wonderful to know that everyone you met treated both you and your mother well and went out of their way to provide you with the best experience possible. Thank you for your comments regarding admin - we are currently reviewing our administrative processes.

Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
