Absolutely appalling started with a&e forgetting to send referal to cardiology, then after having angiogram being given the impression you are at deaths door by a dr who should not have discussed it with me (well I am only the patient). So i need an operation, not sure what because over two weeks down the line it still hasn't been discussed what operation i need and seems no one at pah is able to make that decision and has to be discussed at Basildon. Please pah when you respond don't suggest i speak to pals, done that and they can't get any answers either.

Dear Anonymous,

Poor communication from doctors and any other member of clinical staff with patients is not acceptable. I would like to gain some further information from you about the people who have been providing your care and treatment so this can be addressed with those teams and individuals directly. All of our staff must be aware of the effects of poor communication on patients, families and carers and it does sound like we could use your experience to enable some specific learning and improvement.

This service is managed by senior clinical staff who will want to be aware of how this has happened. Please can you call 01279 82 70 84 and provide your details so we can get this information shared and the issues addressed head on.
