"Dermatology review"

About: Worthing Hospital

Having lived for over 20 years in the tropics was seen 2 years ago at Southlands for the removal of some suspect lesions. The dermatologist stated that due to my history it would be advisable to have yearly checks. Sounded reasonable. This year I was asked to return to Worthing for my yearly check. Different member of staff who looked at the notes on their desk and asked how my hand was - fine I said (having had no problem with my hand - it was my chest...) Oh really they said looking perplexed and grasping my hand. I told them it wasn't my hand at which they seemed very confused. Looked briefly at the area i had been treated for and simply told me i didn't need to be seen again. Something somewhere was very wrong here..... Considering relating this to healthwatch - especially as I am a medical professional.
