"Taken to A&E by ambulance from doctor's surgery"

About: Good Hope Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

Had chest pain and heaviness and sent direct from GP surgery by ambulance and taken to Good Hope Hospital. Ambulance team, A&E staff, staff in the Acute Medical Unit and porters were all lovely at what was a traumatic time for both myself and my family.

Staff in AMU were attentive and communicated what was going on at all stages. I knew what tests would be carried out and approximate time when results were expected. I couldn't thank the staff on the evening shift enough.

More help for staff, they do a great job.

A definite 10 out of 10.

I am pleased to read that you found all of the staff you dealt with to be lovely, and that they communicated clearly with you throughout and that they were attentive to your needs. I do appreciate this must have been a very worrying time for you.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to Neil Mallett, Matron for Acute Medicine and also highlighted to Julie Taylor, Head Nurse for Good Hope Hospital so that they can communicate to all of the staff, your lovely comments. I hope this is acceptable.
