"Birth experience"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

I was induced on my due date and was very nervous about the experience with this being our first baby.

However, the midwives and doctors were fantastic and explained everything thoroughly even when things got complicated and had to go to theatre.

The aftercare on the ward was also fantastic and felt very supported with any questions or queries we had.

It was also great having a private room and that my husband could stay with me and our baby for our entire stay.

I was admitted back on the post natal ward 1 week after giving birth due to developing an infection and my experience was a positive one again with my husband and son able to stay with me and the staff were great.

Would highly recommend this hospital and the staff are fantastic even when busy and under pressure.
