About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

I have been using GEH over the last 3 years, I have had problems with my back, thyroid and now have cataracts. it appears that there is no comunication between areas. No one has got my history from previous hospital. I hate going to Dr's hospial at the best of times. I always feel like im am causing an inconvience. I find it difficult to explain myself, and sometimes feel if people don't believe me. I am not in the habit of lying about my condition, if anything i'd rather play it down but I really am finding coping with back pain and continued tiredness. I recieved a letter referring me to the chronic pain/ME clinic which alarmed me as I have not been diagnosed with anything. after looking it up I can see how it would fir but still no diagnoses.

I am taking thyroxine and still feel tired and lathargic. I am totally exhausted. I am going to work full time, and I am not looking for an excuse to have time off. I want to work, but would like to manage my condition better.

As for the cataracts, i was reffered to you by my opticion and the first time you said I had to wait.....so that wasted 2 hours and was uncomfortable as I have a bad back......I then went for a second time and although they said this time they would do it, they were reluctant, I do not go through my accord but have been sent by an opticion. apparently they both need doing.

This I accept and I accept they will done on seperate occaisions, my expectations were not very well managed. I was told this would be done within 12 weeks I have just called to see if there are any dates yet and the person i spoke to informed me the waiting list is 15/18 weeks. when I said oh I was told it fwas 12 weeks they were very short with me and said no its 12/18. all I was doing was repeating what i was told.

I am fed up of people being rude to me when I am not rude to them. I work in a call centre as a soft skills coach and if I heard any calls like that i would have to ensure that advisor was aware of their tone.
