What I liked
Excellent Trauma consultant and team. Simply first class in keeping keeping me in the loop, informing me of my choices and always being available for consultation. I feel the care and work performed was of the highest standard and prepares me well for the forthcoming years.
The High Dependency team focussed well on getting me from post emergency op to ward without drama but with special care.
I highly rate the attendance and co-operation of therapists physio, occupational and hand in leading me through the first steps to recovery after a serious accident.
The nursing care rates highly too. Most are extremely hard working, skilled and bring a lot of themselves into the job.
What could be improved
food is very poor. It doesn't stack up too well for people in recovery mode. The supplier also provides food for other London Hospitals e.g. Queen Mary's Roehampton - where the food has been commended. Something needs to be addressed.
Sometimes communication between departments needs a push.
Some cleanliness - especially off ward e.g. corridors.
Anything else?
Kings is an impressive and well run care establishment. Not having previously had such an opportunity to sample I'm glad it was at Kings that I settled. I would be happy to recommend the services to others.
