"It was so quick!!!"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I visited the urgent care centre with the symptoms of a very bad kidney infection. As I have suffered from these alot thru the year, I was familiar with the pain, but I also had some accompanied severe pain which was worrying me! I was told the wait to see a doctor would be 2-2 and a half hrs as it was so busy. But to my surprise I was called in 40 mins after arriving. The doctor I saw was not only extremely nice and friendly, but very thorough and reassuring.

It was a severe bladder and kidney infection and chronic constipation. I was given antibiotics and came out feeling very reassured and glad that I hadn't waited til the following day for my gp surgery to open. I would recommend it to anyone who desperately needed to see a doctor out of hrs!

Thanks do much for taking the trouble to get in touch and we do hope that you're beginning to feel better.

We'll make sure that the urgent care centre team at the New QEII get to hear how highly you rated their care.

By the way, the local MP for Welwyn Hatfield is running an online survey on what people think of local health services, especially those provided through the New QEII.

If you'd like to take part in the survey, just use this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/whhealth
