"Left to labour on my own"

I've been left badly affected by my time in labour at Whipps Cross.

I rushed into hospital at 1am am after my waters had broken and was suddenly having contractions every 2-3 minutes. I was assesed in Triage and they told me that my cervix was not ready for labour and I was not having ' proper contractions' I was sent up to labour ward at about 2.15 and told to 'wait' until things start moving along . At this point I was in severe pain with my contractions and could hardly walk and I asked if if I could be wheeled there which they would not allow.

When I arrived in labour ward my contractions were getting progressively worse , I was in agony and i asked them to check me either by examination or on the monitoring machine which they denied . I was in so much pain I was glued to the bed and was begging the midwifes and my birth partners in between contractions to get me some pain relief , but they would not even check me . By around 3am the contractions were coming every 1-2 minutes .My birth partners went up to the desk for me and were also told it was too early. hilariously , they offered me paractemol. When it got to about 4.10 I said I could feel the baby's head coming out and I was laughed at.

In the next couple of contractions it was all too much to bear and I screamed out and pushed the baby out with no help. They didn't not believe me until they could physically see the baby's head out of my body .I might as well of given birth at home on my own. The after math of the baby and was ruined and all I could think about is that no one believed me .

Im still scarred from the experience 8 months later and makes me scared to have another baby in the future . if I do , I will definetely not be having one here .
