"From a mum!"

My daughter is a nurse at Heartlands hospital. She has unfortunately presented with some abnormalities of the heart which are genetic. Her cousin died age 22 last year from an aortic aneurysm. My mothers sister died of a hole in the heart and there are others. My daughter has three abnormalities and unfortunately had to be taken in to A and E the other night. There were apparently T inversions on the ECG although it had righted itself in the morning and an arrhythmic heart beat showing on the screen much of the night. However she was told that even with the chest pain she was still experiencing she should go home as she was young and fit and it was muscular skeletal!!! She knows it is not she is very bright and should have been a doctor but for the fact that I am poor! My cousin has now been found to have a lack of elastin and that was sudden death (within 2 minutes or so) An athlete, young and fit! This is genetic. My daughter has not been able to do a work shift since, she is in her flat unable to breath properly if she exerts herself and still with pain in her chest on and off. She has an emergency appointment with her GP next Friday! That was because her cardiologist 'signed her off' after an occupational health interview! In which the doctor prescribes steroids but does not seem to be able to follow up whether they are ok with her or not! I have just found that the steroids she has been given are highly dangerous to her in particular! I am a mum, I am miles away and I am very worried. My daughter is a tough cookie, she is gentle and kind to all her patients, she sees them through to the end. I am listening to her say no one wants to help her!? So when you cardiologist put your write ups on your private hospitals and include your public ones, do not think that you are special. I brought my child up on my own and if anything happens to her because someone could not spend the time or be bothered I will be looking into every little tiny detail in public and in private.
