"My toddler son was very poorly with pneumonia."

About: Freeman Hospital

We were transferred from Middlesbrough to Newcastle because we were informed that Newcastle was where the experts on Williams condition. Initially it's a scary prospect having to move to a different city however upon arrival it was very clear that this was the place we had to be. Not only do all the consultants, nurses and all staff members keep you informed and part of the decision making process, they were all extremely lovely and welcoming. They gave us confidence and reassurance about Williams treatment and recovery. This place is amazing. It's clean, it's forward thinking, they have the best technology and there ethos is to really provide the best healthcare possibly.

I've not visited a huge amount of hospitals in my time, but this one is outstanding.

It's a scary prospect seeing your small child suffering. The anxiety and the Unknown can really damage your own mental and physical health. The staff are very patient focused and meet the needs of the family in a friendly robust way. They made the right decisions around my son and gave me and my partner the confidence to agree.

This hospital is without a doubt the best. The epicentre of healthcare excellence.
