I attended endoscopy suite on Tuesday 3rd November. I was apprehensive to say the least.
Firstly, I was telephoned on the Sunday prior to offer an appointment. Excellent !
The nurse who dealt with me, taking history etc was very kind considerate and professional but friendly.
The wait for treatment room was spent watching tv. It took my mind off what was next.
Then it was my turn. The nurse helped me ( I was on my crutches due to chronic back pain ) I was told. Don't rush. The two nurses in the treatment room were brilliant too.
Making me laugh and distracting my mind. I was made to feel at ease and very calm.
Told what was to come and how to make the treatment easy.
The whole thing although not pleasant, was fine. It lasted only a couple of minutes and I was told the results. How to continue after it. Then it was off to recovery, dressed and once again excellent treatment. Whilst awaiting my discharge the staff were cleaning the beds etc . It was explained what to do from now on.
Thanks to you all !
My sister is awaiting, same diagnostic . From my experience I have said.. No problems.
Thanks to all involved.
From reception to discharge.
