"Breast services care"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I had my 50 years of age mammogram last year and a fibroadenoma was discovered. The care I received at that time was brilliant.

Thirteen months on I have been experiencing breast pain in the same area. I went to my GP for reassurance, they did not want to take any chances and made a non urgent referral. Within two weeks I have been seen. I was worried I would be viewed as a worrier and thought I might be wasting their precious time.

My experience has been extremely positive. I felt I was taken seriously, at no time did I feel like I was wasting their time and to reassure me further a mammogram has been booked within a week.

I cannot fault the care and speed I have been attended to. Thank you to all the staff in the Breast Services Dept. You are great!
