"Would like my care provided by carers who come on time"

About: Carewatch (Inverclyde) (Ayrshire) (Dunbartonshire) (Argyll & Bute)

(as a service user),

I’m not happy with my care at home service. I used to have a different company and they were ok but they lost their contract. I find that very few of the carers are nice, and they are not always helpful.

They don’t come when they say they will or do what I think they are meant to. It’s very frustrating. The carers are young, I don't think they don’t know what they’re doing, for example, they are supposed to make sure I take my tablets but they walk away, so I don't think they’re doing their job. If I’m not happy with a carer then I don’t want them coming back to my house.

I would like to have my care provided by carers who come on time.

Dear rbank 123

Thank you for your response.

I am very sorry the service your receive from Carewatch is not meeting your expectations.

It is my job to ensure companies like Carewatch, who are contracted by the Council, provide a quality service. I would be grateful if you could either contact Care Opinion or phone me on 01563-503339 with your details. I am happy to pursue this on your behalf.

Many Thanks

Dear RBank123

I am very sorry and disappointed to read we are not providing you with the service you would like. I would very much like to arrange to meet with you so that we can make the necessary improvements.

All our staff attend training which includes the high standard we expect them to provide services to. We issue weekly schedules which are in line with the service requests, however are always happy to change times to suit the people receiving the service.

We would like to ensure you are happy with your care support team and work with you to sure you are confident in the care they provide. Could you please contact either myself or Annemarie our Quality Monitoring Officer at the office on 01294 608222 or email info@inacs.co.uk and we can make these arrangements as soon as possible?

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback and I very much hope we can improve the service for you as quickly as possible.

Kind regards

Anna
