"111 service is great"

In the past 10 years I have used the 111 service 6 times and they have always come up trumps, they are wonderful.

In October I had a very severe pain in my gut, mainly towards the back and I was concerned it may be pneumonia. As my surgery was closed I called 111 and within seconds the ambulance was at my home. After asking about the pain and examining me I was taken off to the University Hospital in Croydon where I was kept in for six days on an intravenous antibiotic drip.

I am now back at home, whilst the severe pain has gone I still have a dull ache which causes me to fidget to get comfortable. I don’t think I will call the doctor to make an appointment as it always takes so long, could be a week before they can see me.
