"Trip to Skegness"

As a mum who doesn’t drive I find daytrips away prove to be expensive so when I found out (at Calverton Children’s Centre) about the subsidised trip to Skegness in August it was the perfect opportunity to take my daughter to the seaside so I booked our places to attend.

When the day arrived from the minute my daughter and I arrived at the meeting point at 8. 15am to the time we arrived home at 7. 30pm (due to traffic) we both loved every minute of our day together with great seaside food, time on the beach in the sun and a visit to the amusements armed with £1 worth of 2p’s.

It was a very well organised memorable day out and was great to find out the trip was organised not only by the children’s centre but also parents who attend a parent’s forum group.

If it hadn’t been for the subsidised trip we would not of been able to have a day at the seaside that provided so many happy memories for us both.
