"Rudeness of senior doctor"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

After stopping daily activities because of chest and arm pain on left hand side, have been taken by paramedics to a&e. And must say they were the only ones, who seemed to care about my health issues. Not going to start about waiting time to be seen by doctor, but what I have received with it, was more than enough for me to decide to write this review. I felt like rabbit in the laboratory. One of the students has been sent to see me and find out about my health condition, medical history, etc. After answering same and same questions again, they still managed to get it wrong, and then the exam has started. One of the senior doctors came and they were more interested into the student's exam score rather than my health condition. The doctor could clearly see, that I was lost, weak, dizzy but showed no care to this at all. After blood tests being done, X ray and this hundred questions being asked 100 times and still managing to get those answers wrong, I have been told that I am free to go. Because of being in shock, and completely alone, didn't even know which hospital I was at and feeling the same way or even worse (I was very dizzy and doctor could clearly see this) when I have arrived to a&e, I exploded and started to cry. All I have received is raised voice, that no one going to sort out my problems( i dont have gp because of being in London just for training) and that I must to see my gp. And if I feel dizzy, I must go and sit somewhere, wait till it goes (even I have mentioned that this dizziness lasts for two days already) and then when I am back to myself and can find out my way, I need to go home. And of course, I needed to sit down until I managed to reach my house. Luckily, I didn't fell down somewhere, as if I had, who would have taken responsibility for it?

We are extremely sorry to read your review and your experience of when you arrived in our Emergency Department. Please accept our apologies for the rudeness of the senior doctor. Our staff should never behave in this way.

This must have been a very confusing and upsetting time for you. We would like to look into the concerns you have raised here but will need you to provide us with more detail to do so. Please contact our Patient, Advice and Liaison Service on 020 3594 2040 or by email: pals@bartshealth.nhs.uk

Kind regards
