About: Sunderland Eye Infirmary

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was referred to the Sunderland Eye Infirmary by my optician because I had a 'floater' in my right eye.

I arrived at the Emergency area shortly after 1pm and left before 4pm having been diagnosed as having a tear in the retina and said tear 'stitched' by laser surgery.

All staff we very pleasant, kept me informed as to what they were doing, and told me what the options were.

I initially left intending to return at 5pm for treatment, but the doctor actually ran outside to bring me back as he could perform the operation then.

Many, many thanks to the Eye Infirmary team for such excellent care, treatment, and reassurance.

What could be improved

Nothing
