"Fantastic care"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I wanted to leave some positive feedback on the care that my partner received at Kettering general hospital last week.

He had been under the care of his GP with shortness of breath and chest pains, and was contacted by them on Thursday morning to say that his ecg had shown a problem and to attend A&E immediately.

On our arrival we were seen immediately by professional, courteous staff who explained everything in such a way our anxiety was reduced dramatically. Everyone who we came into contact with in the department was polite, professional, and kept us fully informed of plan of treatment and next steps. He was transferred to the ambulatory care unit, for further investigations.

The care he received here was absolutely second to none. From the moment he arrived on the ward everyone was again professional, kind and kept us fully informed. Special mention to the student nurse, staff nurse and the clinical medical assistant ( I think) who were all fabulous.

All too soon we are quick to comment when things don't go well, but I feel it is equally important to commend those on a job really well done.

Thankfully we are at home now and Rob is taking it easy. Thank you all so much.
