My aunt has been on the Holdforth Unit for just over a week now and has had nothing but outstanding care compassion and treatment from all the staff, as a family we can't praise them enough.
From the moment she arrived she has had personalised holistic care and her physical and psychological well being has improved immensely.
The unit is spotlessly clean tidy and well maintained, and the food is good too. I wouldn't like to single out anyone for praise as they have all been wonderful and made a traumatic experience for my aunt and us as a family so much more bearable.
To quote my aunt "they are all amazing" .... Praise indeed !!
Have to say a big thanks also to the hospital management team for providing local services for local people and for literally breathing life back into Hartlepool General
Hospital which we fought to keep, never wanted to loose, and so desperately wish to keep.
