"A&E visit for broken finger"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff at MRI A&E after I visited on Friday. The receptionists were a little distracted and not very friendly but the medical staff could not have been nicer!

The triage nurse who initially assessed me had a lovely manner and explained everything that would happen very clearly. The doctor who saw me next was brilliant too - very friendly and again explained what would happen and how long things would take. The X-ray staff did my films straight away with no wait and then the doctor talked me through what they and the orthopaedic consultant thought about my injury and the best way forward - the doctor even apologised for the wait! It was great to see a student doctor attending too.

All in all considering I had a low priority injury the staff couldn't have treated me more kindly! I arrived around 10am and was sorted by 1.30pm which I don't consider too long to wait seeing as I'd been seen by a nurse, 2 doctors and the X-ray department in that time.

Thanks to all the staff, I'd be happy to use MRI A&E again although in the nicest possible way I hope I never need to!! :o)
