"A Week spent on Ward 15"

About: Good Hope Hospital

After falling on October 7th I was taken by Ambulance to A&E at Good Hope. I then was admitted to Ward 15 then the next day had an operation to my leg and ankle to put plate and pins in. It is a nasty break. I then spent a week on ward 15. All the staff were excellent. They were all always very busy but I had good care and attention. I cannot fault them. I was having trouble dealing with the fact that I have a long recovery ahead of me and one HCA in particular helped me so much both physically and with coming to terms and dealing with my recovery. Thank you all.Julia Jones.

Dear J Jones

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your experience in Accident and Emergency and on Ward 15 at Good Hope Hospital.

It does sound as if you've been through the mill a bit and I do hope that are making progress in your recovery.

I will be delighted to forward your feedback to the Angela Birmingham, Matron for Emergency Services at Good Hope Hospital, as well as to Ann-Marie Mason Ward 15 Ward Manager, and to Gail Moore Matron for Trauma & Orthopaedics, who will be delighted to share your comments with all of their teams who work very hard in providing quality patient care.

I do hope that this is acceptable and thank you once again for taking the time to provide details of your hospital stay and treatment, it is extremely important to us.

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
