I was supposed to have an appointment from last January in the ENT department. Never materialised. In a different department, Urology,
I was supposed to have another appointment 6 to 8 weeks after seeing a consultant. 17 weeks later I went to my GP to find out what was going on. That took another 2 weeks (2 weeks to see a GP, what is going wrong) and the GP wrote a letter. I had the 6 to 8 week appointment about 23 weeks later. Following that consultation, I was supposed to have an appointment in 2 weeks. I finally get notification and that was 7 weeks. I telephoned Kingsmill to cancel the appointment. I am now referred to another hospital. I was asked if I wanted to speak with the 'Patient Experience Team'. If they spent more money on medical stuff, instead of employing non medical for the sake of it, they may do a better job. btw it now takes me 3 weeks to see my GP, and others I know has taken them a month. The NHS around Mansfield is a disgrace. No wonder the houses are so cheap, I now know the reason. Oh, and charging for patient parking is immoral in my book.
