I was a bit late for the appointment problem with joints they dont want to move once sitting in the car then very painful standing on them lol anyway the receptionist at The Surgical Unit was both polite and non judgemental due to my lateness when previous experience with NHS staff its not what someone says its the tone and body language. 10 out of 10 in first point of contact as it can always comfort the patient in a starnge place for the first time. Second point of reference a most delightful nurse whom carried out my knee replacement in an air of comfort but very at ease unsual but the lady gave me a crutch which I left mine at home. Most assessments are long nothing inbetween all previous experinces in these dark years of pain pain pain mentally spriritually we only see the physical side I felt like the nurse was naturally equiped with the tools to see beyond the Paper work. My pain manage me but it was worth writing this. Keep Up The Good Work Newham Surgical Assessment Team. Oh yeah the person whoim took my blood I never even felt the needle lol ...
