"I had the unfortunate pleasure ..."

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to visit the A&E department and I would like to say what wonderful staff are in this department. We hear so many people complaining abut their visits to A&E that I must congratulate the staff on the way my husband and myself were treated.

We arrived at about 9.30 am, the nurse and doctor on duty were first class. I had to have an x-ray and while I was away my husband was given a cup of tea which I thought was very touching, as he is 71 years old.

The treatment I received was wonderful and I cannot praise the nurses or doctor enough. I have had five members of my family in hospital over the past 18 months for various conditions and they have all been treated with compassion and care.
