I went for my pre assessment for my operation today, I was very disappointed in the service I received today. I suffer from white coat and have bad panic attacks when blood pressure is taken by an arm machine. I didn't receive any help to calm me down and was basically told to get over it. Then because my blood pressure was high due to this I told the nurse before hand that I suffer from this condition and could a manual one be carried out and I got told no. Then I got told that my operation could be cancelled because of this. I was meant to get tested for MRSA as everyone does but this was never carried out. I found the staff very unprofessional and no support given.
