"waiting time"

About: Sussex Eye Hospital

I have now been waiting more than ten months for a minor eye operation. Despite several visits and a number of letters, i am still waiting for some kind of treatment. I have been told that i would have to wait 3 months, after 4 months with no contact from the hospital i visited again, this time to be told i would have to wait until second eye needed operation so that both could be done together, in June i was told surgeon was retiring so would have to wait until August or September. In August i was told Surgeon was on holiday and on their return, would be contacted. It is now the middle of October and i am still waiting. Is this what you call providing care? I wrote almost two weeks ago, so far have been ignored. What, if anything are you going to do about my eyes?

Yours, R.P.Hale
