"I had the misfortune to fall and ..."

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had the misfortune to fall and break my wrist on a very bleak icy day and was one of the many walking wounded to A&E that day.

I followed the queues of patients from A&E to x-ray to fracture clinic to plaster room and must say department, although extremely busy, treat everyone with excellent care and great kindness. Most impressive. I had to attend the Surgical Day Unit a few days later for wiring to my wrist and re-plastering, the staff in the particularly well run department were excellent in their professionalism, excellent care and great kindness shown to all, as indeed even in theatre before and after my operation. Care was excellent, it was good to feel safe in their care.

Congratulations to all and I just felt I should let people know that standards of treatment and care at North Tyneside General Hospital were remarkable in all these aforementioned departments.

PS I worked in the Health Service for over 30 years - this was my first time ever as a patient - well done!
