"brilliant care"

I had my daughter here in 2012 straight forward and home the next day. My first experience made me choose bedford again in 2015 for the birth of my 2nd baby. The birth was again straightforward and we went home the next day the staff were all brilliant despite being extremely busy. the midwives on delivery especially were amazing so encouraging and supportive. Unfortunately due to my sons weight loss we were readmitted to materity when he was 5 days old. Along with the paediatric doctors the midwives were fantastic including the student midwives who helped me a lot. I honestly cannot praise the staff enough I was so worried about my son as well as looking after him and getting him on the right track, they reassured me and supported me so much I always felt if I needed anything I only had to ask despite the fact they were always so busy with so many ladies to look after they always had time for what I needed. I also wanted to mention the food and dining room I thought the food was great always good choice and the staff in there were so helpful especially when I couldn't make mealtimes as I was trying to feed or expressing milk for my son they put food aside so that I could have it when I was finished. From my experience I would recommend the maternity services at bedford hospital and cannot thank the midwives enough for all they did for us
