Advised to arrive at 12.30 for my operation on elbow. Was seen by a couple of different nurses, anaesthetist and then consultant. The consultant appeared very rushed in his manner even telling me that they had dashed over from Pinderfields. After going back to the waiting room they came back to see me to say they'd forgotten to draw on the arm which was due to be operated on! After a 3 hour wait in a very cold waiting room in only a theatre gown was finally taken down to theatre. Was allowed to leave 7 hours after arriving, still slightly woozy and in considerable pain. Was given pain killers, no information on how the op had gone, nor information on care on the wound within the following days, or aftercare and recovery post op. Was only told to go to gp for suture ends clipping 14 days later., but due to it being unclear as to the kind of suture the practice nurse unable to do it.
"No aftercare advice after operation"
