"sent for by neurology with 4 hours notice"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

2.pm i got a phone call to attend neurology at 6,45pm, out of the blue knew nothing about an appointment as I have one pending for warrington Hospital, Todays was at stoke royal Hospital,my friend keith drove from manchester 44 miles to take me, add 11 miles to stoke one way. we arrived on time, no record of an appointment, confused reception - 20minutes chasing neurology, told to go to ward 231, porter sent for, another 20 mins, taken to ward 231, staff know nothing about it send me wait in a corner to see the neurologist told they will be with me soon - 1 hr passes nothing then were told they had gone home. - one wasted journey, £50 fuel, £3 parking, 55 mile each way journey - left not even knowing why sent for
