"My stay at West Midlands Hospital as an NHS..."

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at West Mdlands Hospital. From my first appointment to see my consultant, pre- op visit, my total hip replacement and follow up physiotherapy, I have been treated with care, dignity and respect. I have been involved in my care, information has been simply and clearly explained and I have had my questions answered. On the day of my operation I felt that I was being well looked after at every stage. The anaesthetist came and chatted about anaesthetic options and my consultant made sure I was 100% happy with the procedure. The nurses were so caring and reassuring and the post op care was excellent. All members of staff were friendly yet professional at all times. The food choices were extensive and meals were delicious and nicely presented. Before discharge staff made sure that I was safe to go home and I knew exactly what to do/ not do. The follow up Physio has been excellent- I have been encouraged at every stage and have made excellent progress.
