I couldnt agree more with the previous comment. I have had much the same experience. Thank God that there are some professional and caring staff but generally I have found the rest of the nursing staff disinterested, not motivated and, yes, discourteous to the point of hostility. Some staff when aproached positively exude animosity. I have been horrified by standards and attitudes displayed be some of the nurses on Ward 4. Measures must be taken immediately to remedy the awful laissez-faire attitude which prevails here, for the sake of all patients present and future.

The Trust was saddened to hear of your experience of staff at Morpeth Cottage Hospital. Clearly this is not what we would expect, please accept my apologies. I will speak to our Chief Matron and we will ask her to launch an investigation into the concerns you have raised.
