From the first point of contact, at Reception, I met a friendly, professional attitude with all staff.
My standard vision test and pressures were taken by an HCA. I was then examined by a doctor and sent for a Field Vision Test, carried out by a nurse. I was seen again by the same doctor about 15 minutes later who decided on a further test.
In all I was in the hospital almost 2 hours. The tests were extensive. I was told the results of each and all my questions were answered.
The doctor I saw was very thorough and took time to explain all the outcomes with me.
The clinic was incredibly busy but staff seem to strive to keep to appointment times. I can see how a backlog can build up. I expected a simple vision test but more was seen to be required. I probably took up more time than I as first allocated!
All the staff are cheerful, calm and take time to explain and everyone who works in Opthamology including Reception. Record keepers and the cleaners who keep the department clean should be congratulated on a job well done.
"Friendly, efficient, professional care."
