"Ward 23"

About: King's Mill Hospital

My Dad had several admissions in 2015 passing through A&E Department & on to the Emergency Assessment Unit where the treatment he received at times seemed chaotic & confusing. He was then transferred to Ward 23 & it was like a breath of fresh air out of the madness!

The staff on ward 23 are kind, caring & compassionate & my Dad was treated with dignity & respect at all times. Although he was ill he never lost his sense of humour he enjoyed & joined in with the the banter on the ward!

We know he was happy with every aspect of his care by the doctor & all of the staff on Ward 23.

He went to the Cardiac Catheter Suite on his 82nd birthday but unfortunately nothing could be done to help his condition & he sadly passed away the following week.

At a time when staff morale is low it is important that when it is well deserved the dedication of the staff & the quality of care provided is recognised and appreciated.

We thank you all.
