"Kidney stones and stents"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I have been having operations and treatment for kidney stones for over 2 years The first operation I hadwas on my left kidney which I had to have my first stent put in which made me urate pure blood for 6 weeks until my next operation last year just before Xmas

I had a operation when the surgeon said to me they found a hole in my Ureter so I had to go home with a Catheter which they said would be out in 10 days time but Ihad in for 6 weeks I got a bad infection from which aI could not work for 2 weeks . Last year the waiting department some how lost me in your system also I had very long delays to get treatment and the urology department have cancelled operations on me.Two weeks ago my operation was cancelled due to a emergency patient. This week the waiting team gave me the wrong time for my operation but I did manage to persuade the nursing staff to go through with my operation but the surgeon wanted a X_Ray first after the X_Ray the surgeon said I don't need a laser treatment operation as it is not worth the risk he suggested that I haveLithotripsy but he said unfortunately he could not do it today he said it could be a month before they do that treatment then I will have to wait longer to have the stent out which is causing me very severe pain and discomfort which is making me feeling very depressed at the moment I feel like ending my life as I can't cope with this pain any longer it keeps awake all the time all I want is to feel pain free
