"Fantastic, caring hospital"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

Had an operation on 8th October, needed to be transferred to Cramlington critical care. This was well explained to myself, ( not really with it !! ) and my family. Back to ward 7 at Wansbeck the next afternoon and my care couldn't have been better. All members of staff on the ward worked together, professionally, friendly and in a caring manner. All other professionals ie.

physio's were superb! A credit to the great name your hospital has.

I am lactose intolerant and the kitchen put themselves out if and when I couldn't eat any options.

This was the second time I have had to stay at Wansbeck for my surgery. The doctor was their usual professional self. I travel from Appleby in Cumbria and the journey is well worth it.

Many thanks for a first class service.

From your description of your care,

I can see that everyone, including our non-clinical staff such as our catering teams, have gone above and beyond to ensure you were looked after and this is very reassuring to hear.

I’m sorry you needed to be transferred to critical care in our new emergency care hospital at Cramlington - this must have meant you were quite poorly - but again, it is great to hear that you received the care you needed and were able to return to Wansbeck hospital so quickly.

We are very proud of the care our teams deliver and will be sure to pass on your kind words to the teams involved.

I do hope you have continued to make a good recovery.
