I self checked myself into A&E with excruciating back pain. The nurse who triaged me was fantastic and I was put in a cubicle waiting for the doctor to see me. The doctor came to see me and asked of my problem, which I repeated again.
They then proceeded to examine me as they do, asked me to do some stretches. Some of them which were very painful to do.
Within a few seconds, yes seconds get told me I had coaxial pain and there's nothing they can do. I therefore needed to go home and lie down and the pain will recede. I asked about work, and they said if pain is bothering me I should get sick note. I proceeded to do as they had advised me, and now 5 weeks down the line I am still in pain, but I can't continue to lie down.
All I want is further investigation of what is causing my back problem.
It's obviously not getting better, which mean I may probably need an xray or some kind of scan to rule out any sinister problems.
Surely, you can't make a diagnosis in a few seconds, then again I am not a doctor.
Sadly I have lost my job due to this ongoing problem of back pain as my job involve moving and handling
