"disgusted with treatment of elderly very sick man"

About: Dorset County Hospital

My father had a GP appointment yesterday he is very immobile but got to surgery with help from his career only to find there were no doctors on duty, the nurses who were there deemed it important he was admitted to Dorchester hospital, so an ambulance was called.OH what a big mistake. He was treated dreadfully, accused off not taking medication properly but that is a different story. He was chucked out off the hospital at 8.15pm without any transport or help and he lives in Weymouth 10 or more miles away. My father is 85 years old. It comes to something when anmals get better treatment.

I am so very sorry to read your father's recent experience in our hospital; I will share you post with our Cardiology Team and I do urge you to contact us so we can try to understand what happened on 0800 7838058 or pals@dchft.nhs.uk.

Best wishes, Sarah Silverton, Patient & Public Experience Lead, Dorset County Hospital
