"A & E First Class"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

My father was taken by Ambulance to A&E after taking a fall and despite him being alcoholic dependent, staff treated him with the upmost of dignity and respect. I am so grateful that the doctors and nursing team did an excellent job and arranged a precautionary CT scan, this proved to be so important after finding a bleed on the brain. The team acted with great pace and urgency and he was transferred to James Cook and was operated on within a few hours, giving him the best chance.

I would express my thanks to all staff for what is a very difficult job and yesterday was so busy you had to be there to believe it, our NHS is not perfect but its still the best in the world
