I was sent from A&E tonight to X-ray as I needed a chest X-ray. I arrived at X-ray the place was empty. I sat in the correct area to be seen, I was still sat there 30 minutes later when a patient on a trolley arrived, the radiographer then appeared and took the patient in. I had sat there for 30 minutes listened to all their telephone conversion's. They then took me in the room and attempted to do a chest X-ray, they were clueless the way they carried it out. I think they must have learnt how to be a radiographer at the South Pole. I teach Radiography in the Netherlands to students all over the world as the training is now better than the UK, I learnt my Radiography in the Netherlands and France, the UK was supposed to be the best, I would not allow the Radiographer to practice in the Netherlands or France. No wonder the Darlington Memorial Hospital is under review. I will be complaining to London
