"Appointment Time at the Maternity Unit"

About: Crawley Hospital

My wife and have been to the Maternity uni (Gynaecology)t on 3 occasions to meet the consultant. However the wait time is always more than an hour. The usual excuse is that there is a medical emergency. This medical emergency seems to be the norm and I would expect that you have another consultant or doctor in charge of the emergencies. Its not a rare occurrence and neither is it a one off thing. I have noticed it every time I have come for the appointments. Our appointment is at most 20 minutes but we have always ended up paying for 2 hrs of parking and wasting our time. The maternity unit always say they cant do anything about the parking.

the hospital is making profit with regards to the parking and just wasting our time, I suggest the hospital gets additional doctors to cover emergencies.

Dear Anonymous

I am sorry to hear of your experience and I agree that it is unlikely that you have just been unluck on every occasion.

I have asked my team to review the clinic running times at Crawley and I would like to apologise for your poor experience.
