"Out patient visit"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

I had to attend an appointment on 20/10/15 at 16.20 for which I arrived 20 mins early to find a long line at the out patient check in, but no problem cheerful staff were doing a grand job and I was soon directed were to go. When I arrived at the appropriate dept. again cheerful friendly staff greeted me and informed me they were running 30mins behind ( not a problem ) the time is now 16.10. At 16.35 ( 0nly 15mins behind) I am called for my appointment . The doctor explained their diagnosis and answered my questions clearly and was very helpful and I was out by 16.45 having had a good experience

My only complaint was I tried to ring on 19th to get some information about the visit but was unable to get through due to the phone queue .

( if ringing to cancel an appointment I would have given up and been a no show! )

Thank you to all staff

Thank you for your encouraging comments about the staff in the Outpatients Department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital when you attended on 20 October.

It is lovely to receive such good feedback on the service and care you experienced and to hear of how well staff have worked together. I will ensure that it is passed on to the areas involved.

I am sorry to hear of how difficult it was for you to get in touch with us to gain some information about your appointment. You may wish to discuss this further with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on telephone 01296 316042 or 01494 425882 or email at pals@buckshealthcare.nhs.uk
