"The course was really useful"

About: Chilwell Children's Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

In October, I attended the Saving a Baby's Life workshop with my one year old child. The course was really useful. However, I wish I could have done it when my child was younger. This is for two reasons; firstly I think it should be compulsory that all new parents ( both mum and dad should do the course) do this in the first couple of months, as there is nothing more important than this. Secondly it would have been easier for me to concentrate on the course if my baby hadn't been mobile.

HI CL4 thanks for taking the time to feedback.

This is the first time we have delivered the save a babies life workshop at Chilwell and Stapleford children's centre and the feedback we have had is very positive.

We have now negotiated with the Royal life saving society for them to come back every term to both Stapleford and Chilwell Children's centre to deliver this very important session.

We are now also going to ensure the course is targeted towards those with non mobile babies because like you said it helps the learner to concentrate and therefore enhances the learning experience. We we will also be using our various partnership networks to ensure as many parents as possible take up the opportunity to attend.

thanks again

Hi CL4,

Thanks for this posting glad to hear you found the course useful, I take your point about a mobile baby in the room where the course is being taught and as Andy says we are taking steps to alter our focus in the future

Thanks

Steve
