What I liked

Over the years, I have been a regular at our wonderful hospital--In patient, outpatient, day surgery and even emergency surgery.

The treatment I have received, each and every time, has been totally first class.

The working relationship between my GP's surgery and the hospital is also first class.

My sister is a nurse in Kent, and when we talk on the phone, if I mention an ailment I'm having, she says " No problem there Ian--just see your GP, and you'll be in hospital and sorted by the weekend"

She really is amazed at the time-scales here in Hartlepool, and often comments that Hartepool is the place to be if you have a medical problem that needs sorting quickly.

And yes--I even enjoy hospital food.

Keep up the good work and the excellent service.

What could be improved

My only complaint would be the time that discharged patients have to wait for medication from the pharmacy.

I accept that it must be an extremely busy pharmacy, obviously, but other patients I have spoken to, say exactly the same about the time hanging around waiting for meds.
