"poor care in a&e"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I was taken to a&e and taken into resus which was full so taken into majors , then after 15 minutes back to resus , then moved back to majors without seeing a doctor , because of all this moving about was not given any pain relieve for 1 hour , obbs only taken once in 4 hours , put on a drip that did not work all the time I was there . see a uncaring dr who did a standard blood test and said I can go home . this was for chest pain no xray done . the amberlance person that took me home said I don't look to good , am I sure I want to go home , I said I just want to get out of there . this was a Monday who said they were getting better , too few nurses to even do regular obbs .

Thank you for leaving your comment on NHS Choices. I am concerned to hear about your experience in A&E and Majors, and want to make sure this investigated. Please contact me through our PALS team on 01708 435 454, or by email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk.

Yours sincerely
